Part 1: Introduction of the Project and Guests.
Question 1: Firstly, can you give me brief introduction about your management team and Attrace?
A:
My name is Erwin and I’m from The Netherlands.
Have a background in M&A and accounting at Deloitte, worked for Morgan Stanley CI in London for 8 years and had one previous startup called LinkBundle (benchmarking of online performance of retail banks) before I co-founded Attrace in 2018
About management team: The Attrace team has extensive experience in the North-European FinTech, Affiliate Marketing and startup field, a solid background in international blue-chip financial companies (various banks in USA and London) and developed a use case specific high performance custom blockchain solution from scratch over the last three years.

Very simplified explained: Online marketing in web3 has a complete disconnect between marketing spend and true on-chain value add.
Think we all agree that Web3, the blockchain economy, is the future and that crypto projects and creators in Web3 require promotion to acquire users.
So what do all web3 projects do now? They give fixed fees to promoters or websites, without any guarantee that those promoters add value.
So we identified that Web3 needs a solution for performance based promotions.
In other words: Web3 does not have performance based marketing for assets being sold in a decentralized environment, e.g. like a DEX!
On June the 25th, after more than 3 years and millions of investments,
Attrace.com launched the only operational trustless Referral Protocol for web3. Protocol consists of two main pillars:
1) Referral links for web3
The protocol is able to connect outreach (referral links) via any (social) channel, cross chain, cross web2/web3 and the Metaverse with true on-chain activity (e.g. buy and hold crypto via a DEX). This means performance based marketing cross web2/web3.
Concept works via creating a three party relationship between public wallet addresses of Project, Promoter and Buyer in combination with Oracles that can observe any asset on any blockchain
2) Referral Farms
With the launch Attrace has also introduced the Referral Farms, a farming style reward structure for Promoters/Referrers and Buyers to create Defi style urgency for Promoters to join early.
Question 2: Please share a few major milestones of Attrace during its development process
A:
Developing the Attrace Protocol took us more than 3 years and more than $4 million to develop. We have also had meetings with about 250 projects and promoters to fully understand how the web3 market will evolve.
So there has been a lot of trail and error. Many other projects tried to tackle the issue but eventually quit.
The largest milestone was to go live, after years of development, with the MVP 6 weeks ago on the 25th of june. And we are proud because the app works flawless and has traction, so we have proven that our methodology works. 🛫🚀
Getting to this point was the result of various other milestones achieved in the last years, e.g. :
1- We came to the conclusion that you cannot solve the problem of performance based marketing in web3 with a dedicated blockchain, we realized you need a network of Oracles that can “observe” any asset on any blockchain from a 3rd party perspective
2- We came to the realization that in order to be fully trustless with performance based marketing in web3 you need to use the actual transaction between the public wallet addresses of the buyer and the seller as the trustless verification that a sale has happened, and work backwards from there to design the protocol. > Using web2 performance based marketing tech via cookie tracking and fingerprinting to verify a sale – like any CEX is still doing – is not trustless and therefore in our view not relevant anymore once web3 takes over 🧐
3- We came to the realization that in order to avoid gaming and be fully aligned with the web3 space gaming and incentive strategies, we needed to create urgency for promoters to join early, hence we introduced the concept of referral farming rewards for promoters

we now already have more than 250 promoters that joined our network

Is Attrace from DeSpace’s team working on the project? So what benefits will Despace’s cooperation with Attrace bring to Attrace?
A:

The Attrace protocol will enable the DeSpace community to leverage the – true on chain (!) – value of their outreach for any project they would like to promote
DeSpace community can become promoters themselves for any DeSpace project and they will be rewarded in a truly trustless (!) and performance based (!) manner
Of course by setting up referral farms via the Attrace protocol, DeSpace will also be able to tap into the promotional outreach of promoters already connected with the Attrace protocol, e.g. the KOL’s already working with the referral farms, Mask community and soon the DappRadar and other communities which are about to connect with the protocol

Attrace integrated into Mask Network will help Mask Network? For example, I am a Twitter celebrity, how can I make money by referring web3 content? I read through Integration with Mask and it looks pretty vague
A:
We have a nice video explaining the benefits of the Attrace integration int Mask
In a nutshell, although the Attrace app only requires a few steps to (1) set up a farm or (2) start promoting or (3) “buy to earn” > via the Mask integration it will work in an even more simplified manner.
Mask is a browser plugin that connects Twitter with web3
Now that Attrace is integrated into Mask it means that Twitter users can become promoters of web3 assets sold in a decentralized environment, and getting paid in a performance based manner, without having to leave te Twitter environment
So if you are a Twitter celebrity, go to the farming app within the Mask plugin, if you find a project you like and want to share with your audience, grap the link and use it in your tweets > you will then – guaranteed – earn should your tweet result in true on-chain activity (e.g. buy and hold of a token)

I see in your tokenomics section you talk about Oracle so what is it? Staking with Oracles? What will it look like?
A:
Yes, good question. The network of Oracles that can “observe” any asset on any blockchain is a difficult thing to understand as it is a world’s first.
Oracles are nodes that monitor blockchain transactions and detect value added in web3 via referrals, by connecting off-chain promotions with the actual on-chain user activity. This is a cross-chain solution that does not require any (contract) integration.
Basically works like this: Oracles see all assets on all blockchain so they idenfity: Ok because of this referral link > that transaction (between a project and a buyer) happened > and because I see that I will give promoter (the one sharing the referral link of the project to the buyer) and buyer rewards
Oracles take 5% network fees of the referral farms that are being set up by projects (seeking performance based marketing)
By staking with the Oracles you will get pro rata part of those network fees, the fees will be in ATTR and you will be able to harvest them simply via the wallet you have been staking with
$ATTR is used for Staking and Governance
• Ensure security and guarantee trust by staking $ATTR with Oracles
• Earn protocol fees and staking rewards in $ATTR when staking
• Receive $ATTR by joining Attrace Referral Farm
• Govern the network through a voting process

What is Refer to earn in it is quite strange? How does it work? I found it while learning about Attrace can you help me explain it?
A:
Very simple:
Before Attrace there was no way you could be rewarded – performance based! – for promoting an asset that is sold in a decentralised environment like Uniswap
Yes CEX like Binance or Coinbase have referral links > but they are Centralised solutions!
We think that is not the future
DEX like Uniswap, Sushiswap, Pancake swap etc that is the future and so are decentralised NFT marketplaces or smart contracts for Liquidity, Farming or Staking protocols
That technology for performance based marketing of that did not exist
Until 25 of June when Attrace launched
If you promote a token that is being sold on a DEX (Decentralized! Exchange) like Uniswap or Sushiswap, and as a result someone is buying and holding that token, via the Attrace referral farms will be rewarded for that in a performance based manner (for as long as they buyer holds the token). Simply pick a link via the app and select a token to promote via https://app.attrace.com/farms
Also if you want to buy a token on Uniswap or Sushiswap, it is best to first check if there are farms availalbe so you can get extra rewards for buying https://app.attrace.com/buy-to-earn
